Exnora International needs no introduction. The organisation known for its social welfare activities has honoured the team members of ‘Narthaki’, a film on transgenders, with ‘Cine Seva’ awards.

While director of the film Vijaya Padma was given the Cine Seva award for best director, the film’s producer ‘Punnagai Poo’ Geetha, music composer G V Prakash Kumar and lyricist Na Muthukumar were also honoured for their contributions.

According to Exnora, “Narthaki is a bold and honest film, which portraits life experience of a transsexual child and her courageous journey from being a struggling boy to successful woman.”

The civic organisation added: “Narthaki narrates the untold story of the life of transsexual people who remain and underprivileged and the invisible society of India.” The film is getting ready to hit the screens soon.
